Uzoagba High School was founded in 1963, precisely on 26 December. The school was built by the Uzoagba town Union and handed over to the Catholic mission through Rev. Fr. J. Jobin on that date.

The School formerly known as Uzoagba Girls Secondary School was changed to Uzoagba High School in 2022 to accommodate both genders.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri manages the school under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. Wilfred Nwachukwu.
